Build a tasting visit
Start with a loop of the stands before committing to a queue. Choose a small comparison: the same brewing method from two roasters, or one coffee made two ways. Ask what you are tasting and note the producer before buying beans. This gives the visit a purpose even if you are new to specialty coffee.
Use the programme to anchor one demonstration, talk or competition, then leave room for spontaneous stops. You do not need to fill the entire 10:00–18:00 day. Pair a shorter visit with a river walk and a proper meal rather than trying to sample everything.
Tickets, children and access
Buy through the organizer's Tickets link and check the exact day, workshop inclusions and final price. Door tickets may be limited. The 2026 visitor FAQ says accompanied children under 12 enter free; this does not make adult admission free.
The organizer confirms step-free access and accessible toilets, with help at the entrance Info Point. It also lists luggage storage there. Check any specific seating or assistance need directly before buying; a busy tasting floor can feel different from a normal visit to the building.
Getting to Center Rog
The published address is Trubarjeva cesta 72. Approach along the river if you are already sightseeing in the center, and save the map before leaving. The organizer estimates about 15 minutes on foot from the main train station; allow extra time with luggage or during station works.
A useful combination is the festival plus a relaxed walk back toward the Dragon Bridge and the Old Town. Keep your onward transport separate from the festival's closing time: you still need to leave the venue, collect bags and reach your stop.
